We're not experts in African American History or Black Studies or African American Literature, etc. We're just a couple of folks who couldn't find an African American Quotation site by simply googling "African American Quotes." So we set out to create such a site that could be easily found by those seeking inspiration, knowledge, insight, or just exposure to the many things that have been said by notable African Americans. This site is missing some people from it. We may very likely be missing someone from this site that makes you say "What?! How could they exclude ___________?!"
